Screen delivery executives, retail staff, and warehouse workers — in Hindi, or their language

No app, no reading, no English requirement. Candidates speak; AI listens, scores, and reports — on a basic Android phone, camera off if needed.

Shynsa conducts voice-only AI interviews for blue-collar and frontline roles in Hindi and regional Indian languages, with no reading requirement and an optional camera-off mode — built for candidates on basic Android phones with limited data, in Tier 2/3 cities where English confidence and camera quality both vary widely.

The problem

Voice-first is the difference, not a feature

Most screening tools assume candidates will read a form, type an assessment, or hold a stable video call — assumptions that don't hold for a large share of blue-collar and frontline applicants. Front cameras on entry-level Android phones are often poor quality; mobile data is metered, not unlimited; and a candidate applying for a warehouse or delivery role may not read comfortably in English even if they speak it well. Any of these frictions quietly filters out otherwise-qualified candidates before a recruiter ever sees them.

The mechanism

Built around how candidates actually access it

1

Voice-only, no typing required

Candidates listen to a question and speak their answer — no reading comprehension or typing speed involved in scoring.

2

Camera-off by default, opt-in per position

Disable video entirely for roles where completion rate matters more than watching the candidate — audio-only interviews use a fraction of the data.

3

Regional language, real dialect tolerance

Interviews run in Hindi or a regional language, and the speech recognition doesn't penalise regional accents or Hinglish code-switching.

4

Works on any browser, any Android phone

No app download. The link opens in the candidate's default browser and works over a 3G/4G connection.

Built for this

Features that matter here

Camera fully optional per position

Turn video off entirely for candidates where a working front camera or spare data isn't a safe assumption.

Hindi + regional language support

Run the entire interview — questions, instructions, and closing message — in the candidate's chosen language.

24/7 availability

Candidates interview between shifts, at night, on a day off — whenever suits them, not a scheduled call window.

Short, direct question design

Keep questions short and role-specific — availability, location, physical requirements, prior experience — to respect candidates' time and data usage.

The Telugu interview option changed everything for us. Our candidates are much more comfortable expressing themselves — and the quality of shortlists went up immediately.
